Carb0n joins UKGBC

1 juil. 2025

Having built our business across Europe, at the beginning of this year Carb0n launched into the UK market. We are now embedding our business across the region to bring solutions and value to clients who need to unlock investment in the clean energy transition of their real estate.

In order to cement our commitment to supporting the UK built environment to reduce its carbon footprint, we have joined the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC). The UKGBC is the voice of the sustainable built environment. With a growing network of 700+ members, it is at the forefront of driving the transformation to a net zero, climate resilient and regenerative built environment.

We are keen to work with the UKGBC and its members to propel the sector forward. The built environment contributes 25% of the UK’s total emissions, 19% from its operations, and this must change. Our turnkey solution provides a route to address this challenge, uniting ESG, energy performance and power generation to improve asset performance, safeguard investments, and reduce energy-related risks.

Taking a holistic approach, we bring together expertise in analysis, strategy, implementation and ongoing performance at a portfolio-wide or individual property level to benefit investors, funds, developers and occupiers.

Peter Massie, head of UK at Carb0n, says: “There has never been a more compelling argument to take positive and proactive action to reduce climate impact. 80% of commercial properties are not aligned with 2030 EPC targets, energy costs and energy security pose a real threat, and sustainable energy performance can not only reduce costs but also add value. We believe in a collective effort to make meaningful change, so we’re delighted to join forces with the great minds and industry leaders at UKGBC to collaborate, drive solutions and accelerate the transition to clean energy.”
